Feature:
1. Porcelain Crucible:
(1) It can heat about 1200 ��.
(2) Suitable for melting samples of acidic substances.
(3) Generally, it is not used to melt alkaline substances such as NaOH, Na202, Na2CO3, etc., to avoid corrosion of the crucible.
2. Arc Corundum Crucible:
(1) The corundum crucible is composed of porous fused alumina, which is strong and resistant to melting.
(2) The corundum crucible is suitable for anhydrous Na2CO3 and some weakly alkaline substances as flux melting samples, but not suitable for Na202, NaOH and other strong alkaline substances and acidic substances as solvent melting samples.
3. Nickel Crucible
(1) The melting point of nickel is 1455 ��, and nickel has strong alkali resistance and corrosion resistance. Therefore, nickel crucibles are commonly used to melt iron alloys, slag, clay, refractory materials, etc.
(2) The melting temperature of the nickel crucible should not exceed 700 ��, because at high temperatures, nickel is easy to oxidize.
(3) The nickel crucible cannot be used for the burning of precipitation.
4. Quartz Crucible
(1) Quartz crucible can be burned below 1700 ��, but quartz will become opaque when the burning temperature is higher than 1100 ��, so the melting temperature should not exceed 800 ��.
(2) It is resistant to strong acid and alkali, and is not corroded by HF.
(2) Quartz is brittle and easy to break.
(3) It can't come into contact with HF. It can easily react with caustic alkali and alkali metal carbonate at high temperature.
5. PTFE Crucible
(1) The heat resistance of PTFE is nearly 400 ��, but it is generally controlled at about 200 ��, and the highest is not more than 280 ��.
(2) It is resistant to strong acid and alkali, and is not corroded by HF.
